Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026 · Last updated October 23, 2026
In short: we collect only what you send us through our forms, plus standard server logs. We use it to reply to you. We do not sell or share personal information, run advertising trackers, or use analytics cookies.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Deadbolt Digital LLC (“Deadbolt Digital”, “we”, “us”). Our mailing address is 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. For any privacy question or request, email hello@deadbolt.digital.
2. Information we collect

| Newsletter subscription | Email address, sign-up date, where you signed up, and confirmation or unsubscribe dates | You (newsletter form) | Sending Field Notes you asked for; proving you opted in |
| Internet or network activity | Requested pages, browser type, referrer, timestamps | Automatically (hosting logs) | Operating, securing and troubleshooting the website |
| Aggregate usage statistics | Daily page-view counts per page and the referring website’s domain, with no IP address, cookie, device identifier or other personal data | Automatically (anonymous count) | Understanding which pages are useful |
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by state privacy laws, and we ask you not to submit passwords, payment card numbers, health information or other sensitive data through our forms.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries and call requests, discuss and deliver services you ask about, keep records of our correspondence, protect the website against abuse, and comply with legal obligations. When you submit the booking form, we send one automatic transactional email to the address you entered confirming that we received your request, with a summary and a reference number. A requested call time is not a confirmed appointment until we confirm it by email. Submitting a form does not subscribe you to marketing. We will only send marketing email if you separately opt in, and every such email will include an unsubscribe link.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we email you once to confirm, and only send newsletters after you click that link. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also reply to any issue to be removed. We keep a record of when you subscribed and confirmed so we can show you opted in.
4. Sale and sharing
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use personal information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Service providers
We disclose personal information only to service providers that process it on our behalf under contract:
- Hostinger: website hosting, server logs and email delivery of form notifications.
- Supabase: secure database storage of form submissions and authentication for our restricted admin area.
- Resend: delivery of our newsletter to people who subscribed and confirmed by email.
- Anthropic: an AI assistant our team may use to summarise enquiries and emails and draft replies. Content is processed through Anthropic’s commercial API, which does not use it to train models; a team member reviews anything before it is sent to you.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, subject to this policy. Authorized team members in the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan may access enquiry records to respond to you; access is limited to people who need it.
6. Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies or third-party trackers. To understand which pages are useful, our own server counts page views in aggregate (page address, referring website domain and date) without cookies, IP addresses or any identifier, and skips counting when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. The site stores only the following functional items in your browser:
| Item | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| deadbolt-theme (local storage) | Remembers a day/night preference you select | Until you clear site data |
| deadbolt-intro (session storage) | Avoids replaying the opening animation within a visit | Until the tab is closed |
| deadbolt-first-touch (session storage) | Remembers how this visit started (campaign tags in the link, the referring website’s domain and the first page you opened). It stays in your browser and is sent to us only if you submit the booking form, so we know which channel the request came from | Until the tab is closed |
| deadbolt-admin-theme (local storage) | Remembers the admin workspace theme; set only for administrators | Until you clear site data |
| deadbolt_admin (cookie, HTTP-only) | Keeps authorized administrators signed in; not set for public visitors | Up to 1 hour, cleared on sign-out |
| deadbolt-editor-drafts (local storage) | Legacy blog drafts from the previous admin editor, imported to the admin workspace and then removed | Until imported or deleted |
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We do not track visitors over time or across third-party websites. When your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we also skip our anonymous page-view count. If we ever introduce tracking that a Global Privacy Control signal applies to, we will honor that signal as a valid opt-out request.
7. Retention
Enquiry and call-request records are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted, unless they become part of a client engagement, in which case the client agreement governs retention. Server logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider and used only for security and troubleshooting. Browser storage durations are listed above.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-restricted storage, server-side validation and rate limiting, and limit access to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and access a copy in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information, subject to legal exceptions;
- opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling (we do none of these);
- appeal a decision we make about your request; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
How to make a request. Email hello@deadbolt.digital with the subject “Privacy request”, or use the contact form and choose “Send an enquiry”. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days where permitted, with notice). We will verify your identity by matching information you provide against what we hold, usually by confirming control of the email address you used. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for signed permission and verify your identity directly.
Appeals. If we decline your request, reply to our decision with the subject “Privacy appeal” and we will respond within 60 days (45 days in some states). If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
Some state laws apply only to businesses above certain size thresholds. We honor these requests regardless.
10. Children
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information.
11. Links to other websites
Our pages may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. If we make a material change, we will place a notice on our homepage for at least 30 days before it takes effect.
